This week, I was challenged in many areas of my life. I'm currently trying to read a book called, "Hello David I'm God,” however it’s taking me longer than expected. With each chapter, sometimes each page, I'm convicted by the way I’m living my life and challenged with what was written. One of the lessons I’ve learned through reading this book was that in order to fulfill my vision from YHVH, I first need to learn how to be a servant, which is definitely easier said than done.
Has something ever challenged or convicted you? Maybe the challenge or conviction came from what was written in a book, what someone told you, or even what God, Elohim, revealed to you. It’s not always a fun feeling, is it? Sometimes we’re happy in our little worlds but then a revelation comes and shakes everything up!

Have you ever thought about how much we learn in a day? Life is a constant boot camp, just without the hundreds of push-ups. Every day we learn more and get a deeper understanding of the world we live in. When we're born, the world looks like a magical place where nothing bad can happen, until we grow up and have our eyes opened to the truth we and are immersed in the battle, which is life.
There are many things going on in the world today; such as war, poverty, crime, and government corruption. No matter where we turn there is evil in this world; however, we have the choice to either see all the bad or to see the light that is shining throughout all the pain, turmoil, and destruction. All over the world, there are missionaries who are doing all they can to reveal God in every situation. Not all Christians are called to be missionaries, but we are called to spread the Good News throughout the world. No matter how bad things are, God is always there waiting for us to grab His hand and allow Him to guide us. Have you ever had trouble keeping up with the week? Did it feel like the week raced passed you, leaving you at the Start line? Well, I was definitely left in the dust this week, but that’s probably due to my jet lag.
This last week started full steam ahead. I only had two days to pack and get everything done. Thankfully, I was able to accomplish everything and borrow Leona’s car when I needed to buy another suitcase. Packing took me longer than usually since I had double what I originally arrived in the States with. Being in the same place for almost three months really gives you time to buy more than you need. Amazingly, both of my cases were at the perfect weight and all my books were able to fit in my hand luggage! Before leaving the States, I was stunned to learn that I had won another book giveaway! I don’t know why or how I keep winning, but it always occurs at quite an inconvenient time. I’m happy that I was able to get at least three of the twenty-one books, but feel bad that I’ve had to leave Jacque’s parents to deal with all the others. How has everyone’s year been? Were you able to accomplish your ‘New Year’s Resolutions’? I personally do not do resolutions, but I did have a keyword that I was to work on throughout the year.
The key word God gave me at the beginning of this year was, focus. Throughout the year, I was to think of that word and apply it to my life. My goal was to draw closer to the Father and focus on Him. I wanted this year to be about strengthening my relationship with God and discover who I am. Though it was hard at times, I do believe I was able to accomplish an awful lot in a year. |
