Have you ever started reading a book and was immediately plummeted into the storyline? Well, that's what happened to me when I started reading Anew by Chelsea Fine.
The story takes place in Georgia, where a girl named Scarlet Jacobs wakes up in a forest with only the memory of her name. From there, Scarlet is taken in by a woman named Laura and is given the ability to try to live a normal teenage life.
For two years, Scarlet tried to live a normal life, but she yearned to have a recollection of at least one thing from her past. Hope was running low for Scarlet, that was, until she met a boy named Gabriel. As soon as she heard his voice there was an immediate familiarity about it.
As Scarlet got to know Gabriel, she started to realize that there was something that he was hiding, something big! When Scarlet uncovered one of Gabriel’s secrets, the rest of them spill out. Before she knows it, Scarlet is being told the truth about why she woke up in a forest with no memory and has to come to terms with the fact that she's dying, again.
This story is filled with suspense and mystery. I seriously could not put this book down, because with every chapter I was becoming more and more engulfed into the story. If you're a fan of the Vampire Diaries, I am quite sure you will like The Archers of Avalon series.
