This year I'm going to be taking five AP classes, which are: Psychology, English/ Literature, Biology, Chemistry, and European History. It's going to be a lot of work, but I'm up for the challenge. Just looking at the books I get nervous, but I know that with perseverance and will-power, I can conquer anything.
I'm going to try to prove to my parents that I can accomplish this and get into University, though I'm starting to have second thoughts about it. While doing my English diagnostic test they asked you to argue for or against everyone going to college, and I found myself being against it. The reason I took that stance is because I've seen that people go to college or university to get another diploma so they can start their lives with a big job, only to start at the bottom of a company instead of the place they're qualified for.
Maybe I don't need to go to college to get a career. Someone might come to me with an opportunity to study under them and start working on an amazing project. That's what happened when I became a vet assistant, so why can't it happen again?
For right now, I'm not going to focus on what I'm going to do after finishing high school, I'm just going to focus on my studies. I'm just praying that I won't blank when it comes to taking the tests next year!
