Whenever we watch movies about good verses evil, we don’t usually hesitate to side with the good guys and want the evil ones to be given what they deserve. But, when the opposition ends up being people you used to be close with, things change.
I know deep down that they deserve what’s about to be served, but that doesn’t stop me from mourning over their situation. I have never felt like this before and I’m not sure how to handle it. Tonight, I prayed that they would learn their lesson, but not lose their family in the process.
Hopefully, a verdict will be made tomorrow. I just pray that the verdict honors God and works out for the best. I’m also praying that the judge would be given wisdom to do the right thing.
Before I go to sleep, let me end with a couple quotes that have spoken to me tonight:
“Sleep in peace tonight. God is bigger than anything you will face tomorrow!” - Dave Willis
“A false witness will perish, but a careful listener will testify successfully. The wicked put up a bold front, but the upright give thought to their ways. There is no wisdom, no insight, no plan that can succeed against the Lord. The horse is made ready for the day of battle, but victory rests with the Lord.” Proverbs 21:28-31
