I am one of those fortunate students. I finished high school last month and it feels awesome to be free. I can get up anytime I want, spend an entire day reading, or just chilling out. It’s so much fun to not worry about studying for the next test or having school work done on time.
The downside is that I know I’m going to have to start my last year of studying in a couple of months, before I go to university. I know I shouldn’t be thinking about the future studying I’m going to have to do, but I can’t help it. I’m anxious but also excited because I know that after I study and take my Advanced Placement tests that I’ll be qualified to go to a university, hopefully Nottingham in the UK, and be able to see my friends and family on a more regular basis.
It’s hard to not have all my friends around. I am very thankful for the ones I do have that live close by, but I always miss the others. I’ve been talking to Adam on and off this week, and he’s always saying that he can’t wait to see me, so sweet.
It’s Lucas’ birthday today and I told him to celebrate after he had his exams. His response was that he’d party when I came over there in, hopefully, two months. It sucks that I’m going to have to wait that long to hang out with my friends, but at least it’s something.
My family and I are getting ready to go to the States in the next three weeks and I’m really excited to see Jeremy. That is, if he can get off work to come to the convention my dad will be speaking at. I’m just praying that one specific kid won’t be there because he is literally the most annoying thirteen year old you could ever meet. I also hope to see Anthony because he’s going through a hard time right now and I know I need to be there for him at this time to support him and show him that he has friends who care.
Summer is the best! It’s the time when friends get together and can have the best time of their lives. It’s so much better than just hanging out at school because it’s a time to really get to know someone where school isn’t the center of your friendship. Summer is also the time for romance. You never know what might happen. ;)
I really believe that this summer is going to rock! I have a plan to read a ton of books, chill with friends, make new friends, go to the beach, and get fit. It’s always good to take a break from routine and have fun, which is exactly what I’m going to continue to do. I hope you have great summer plans, which you can tell me about it in the comments. Thanks for reading!
